Chicken Shawarma Dinner with Fattoush & White Rice from Shawarma King

Artisan Sandwich Co.

Opened in 2017 by a couple of local Western Michigan University alumni, this downtown sandwich shop serves a variety of hot and cold sandwiches such as the trio-grilled cheese, Kalamazoo club, and a turkey avocado BLT. You’ll also find a soup of the day, Rykse & Co’s mac and cheese, desserts, and sides to complete your lunch. You can order between 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday by calling 269-220-5665 or through the clickable menu on the Artisan Sandwich Co. website. Gift cards are also available to purchase. Artisan Sandwich Co. is located at 348 S. Kalamazoo Mall. 

Bilbo’s Pizza

This beloved Lord of the Rings-themed pizza place dishes up stuffed, pan, and thin-crust pizzas as well as sandwiches (including grinders), pasta dishes, salads, soups, and appetizers. To order from Bilbo’s Pizza, call 269-382-5544. Bilbo’s Pizza is located at 3307 Stadium Drive. 

Comensoli’s Italian Bistro & Bar

The family-owned-and-operated Comensoli’s Italian Bistro & Bar is offering carry-out and curbside pickup of its pizza, pasta, and Italian entrees from 5 until 8 p.m. daily. To place your order, call Comensoli’s at 269-345-6755 or order online. You can even pre-order for a later time through the online ordering system. Gift cards are also available to purchase. Comensoli’s Italian Bistro & Bar is located at 762 W. Main Street.

Fuze Kitchen & Bar

Fuze Kitchen & Bar offers carry-out of menu favorites and weekly specials with curbside pickup available. To order, call 269-220-5511. Fuze is located at 214 E. Michigan Ave with curbside service around the back near Bates Alley.

HopCat Kalamazoo

HopCat’s burgers, famous Cosmik fries, and mac & cheese are all available from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily for in-store and curbside pickup. For delivery, use DoorDash. HopCat Kalamazoo is located at 300 E. Water Street.

Hunan Gardens – West Main Location

This family-owned Chinese restaurant specializing in regional Hunan cuisine offers carry-out from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, and 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. You can place your order online or call 269-373-5900. Hunan Gardens is located at 5059 W. Main Street. 

La Piñata Mexican Restaurant

La Piñata offers carry-out and delivery via DoorDash and Grubhub from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. To order takeout, call 269-382-6642. La Piñata is located at 475 N. Drake Road.

Lake Burger

Lake Burger offers its burgers, fried chicken, hand-cut fries, and hand-spun milkshakes to go from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. You can place your order online or by calling 269-888-2242. Lake Burger is located at 4404 W. Main Street. 

Martell’s

Martell’s offers carry-out and curbside pickup from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday,  4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, and 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. To-go orders can be placed by calling 269-375-2105. Martell’s is located at 3501 Greenleaf Blvd.

Martini’s

Pizza, pasta, subs, salads, beer, and wine are available from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday for pickup from Martini’s. To order, call 269-388-8883. Martini’s is located at 832 S. Westnedge Ave.

Maru

Maru is offering curbside pickup of its sushi and bottled wine, beer, and sake. You can place your order online or by calling 269-488-4888. Maru is located at 427 E. Michigan Ave.

Maui Poke

Maui Poke offers carry-out and delivery via Uber Eats of its poke bowls. You can order online or call 269-532-1223 between 10:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. daily. Maui Poke is located at 310 N. Drake Road.

Nextdoor: A Wine Store (Wine and cocktails only)

Launched by the Stamped Robin team, Nextdoor is an online and brick-and-mortar wine store offering wine, craft beer, cider, coffee grounds, and to-go cocktails for pickup or free delivery within one mile of its downtown Kalamazoo store. Same-day deliveries within 20 miles of downtown Kalamazoo are available for $10.99, and they ship anywhere in Michigan for $25.

Niskers Char-Grill

The hockey-themed sports bar Niskers Char-Grill offers carry-out from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday. For takeout, call 269-903-2427 or order online. Niskers Char- Grill is located at 5050 W. Main Street.

Nonla Burger

Nonla Burger offers takeout at both locations from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, and the drive-thru window is open at the Drake Road location. You can also purchase e-gift cards for all of the local Nonla eateries. Nonla Burger is located at 2103 S. Burdick Street and 1700 S. Drake Road.

Oakwood Bistro

Oakwood Bistro is offering carry-out and curbside pickup between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. If you want to know the restaurant’s weekly specials, follow Oakwood Bistro on Facebook. To order, call 269-344-5400. Gift cards are also available to purchase online. Oakwood Bistro is located at 3003 Oakland Drive.

Old Burdick’s Bar & Grill – Downtown

Burgers, sandwiches, salads, and more from Old Burdick’s Bar & Grill are available from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. for carry-out or delivery. Call 269-343-0032 or place your order online for curbside carry-out or use DoorDash, Grubhub, Postmates, or Uber Eats for delivery. Curbside pickup is available at the Radisson Plaza Hotel valet, and be sure to include “curbside pickup” in your order’s special instructions and call when you arrive. Old Burdick’s Bar & Grill is located on the first floor of the Radisson Plaza Hotel, 100 W. Michigan Ave.

Olde Peninsula Brewpub and Restaurant

Kalamazoo’s first brewpub, the Olde Peninsula offers pub fare and craft beer for takeout and curbside pickup. To order, call 269-343-2739. Tip: Don’t snooze on the Stout Chocula cake! Olde Peninsula Brewpub and Restaurant is located at 200 E. Michigan Ave.

One Well Brewing

Hungry for nachos and beer? One Well Brewing offers to-go food, beer, and cider. You can place your order between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, noon and 8 p.m. Saturday, or 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday online or by calling 269-459-9240. One Well Brewing is located at 4213 Portage Street.

Roma’s Pizza

Roma’s Pizza offers curbside carry-out from 11 a.m. to 11:20. p.m. and delivery from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. You can also order delivery via Grubhub. Roma’s Pizza is located at 1401 S. Drake Road.

Rustica

Rustica offers takeout of its rustic European cuisine and wine from Wednesday through Sunday. To place your order, call Rustica at 269-492-0247. Orders pickup is between 5 and 7:30 p.m. at the downtown restaurant. If you call before 4 p.m., leave your name and phone number for a return call. Rustica is located at 236 S. Kalamazoo Mall.

Saffron

Craving Indian cuisine? Saffron offers lunch takeout from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. Dinner is available from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. To order, call 269-381-989. For curbside pickup, you can prepay over the phone. Saffron is located at 1710 W. Main Street.

Sarkozy Bakery

The downtown bakery offers online ordering of its breads, pastries, and lunch items for pickup from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. You may also place your order by calling 269-342-1952. Parking is available in front of the bakery for curbside pickup. Sarkozy Bakery is located at 350 E. Michigan Ave Suite 100.

Shawarma King on Drake

Shawarma King on Drake is our go-to carry-out spot! The restaurant’s halal Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food is available for carry-out and delivery orders. Additionally, the restaurant also sells groceries, such as chicken, a variety of fresh produce, and pita bread. To place your order, call 269-375-3900 for pickup or use Grubhub or Uber Eats for delivery. Shawarma King is located at 1441 S. Drake Road.

Stella’s Cloud Kitchen

Stella’s Lounge, an old favorite of this blogger from her downtown Grand Rapids days, has come to Kalamazoo in the form of a ghost kitchen operating out of HopCat. You can place an order for Stella’s spicy chronic fries, cheese-stuffed burgers, and vegan dishes like my favorite Poor Man’s Potato Wings for pickup at HopCat or delivery via DoorDash, Grubhub, or Uber Eats.

Sweetwater’s Donut Mill

Doughnut craving? At Sweetwater’s Donut Mill, you can stop in for to-go doughnuts, use the drive-thru window, or call ahead to pick up your pre-boxed order. To place an order by phone, call 269-372-3636 for the Stadium Drive location or 269-388-4613 for the Sprinkle Road store. Bonus: Sweetwater’s is open 24/7! Sweetwater’s Donut Mill is located at 3333 Stadium Drive and 2138 Sprinkle Road.

The Victorian Bakery

Quiche, scones, and other pastries are available at the Victorian Bakery. You can order and pre-pay online to pick up at the bakery’s door from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Looking for a pastry not listed online? You can call the bakery at 269-553-6194 with your request. The Victorian Bakery is located at 512 N. Park Street.

Wax Wings Brewing Company (Beverages Only)

Wax Wings Brewing Company offers curbside pickup of its craft beer. To place your order, do so online and pre-pay. Wax Wings Brewing Company is located at 3480 Gull Road.

Zooroona Mediterranean Grill

Zooroona offers carry-out of its Mediterranean cuisine from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. You can also get wine and beer to go. To order carry-out, call 269-382-4444. For delivery, use Grubhub or Uber Eats. Zooroona Mediterranean Grill is located at 1710 W. Main Street.

Cove Lakeside Bistro

Hunan Gardens

Hunan Gardens offers its Chinese food for carry-out and delivery within 4 miles. To order, call 269-353-5900. Hunan Gardens is located at 7157 West Q Ave.

Rykse & Co.

Rykse & Co. offers takeout and “Rykse’s On The Run” meals ready to bake in less than 30 minutes. For breakfast and lunch takeout, you can stop into the store, use the pickup window, or have your order delivered. Five “Rykse’s On The Run” meals will be offered each day for pickup or delivery. Follow Rykse & Co. on Facebook for updates on hours and menu options, and call 269-978-8600 to place your order. Rykse & Co is open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, but the kitchen closes at 2 p.m. On Saturdays, customers can stop by between 7:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. for breakfast and Rykse’s On The Run meal pickups.
